Did WWE Plant Seeds For HBK Vs. Undertaker At Wrestlemania 35?

One more match.

One more match.

One more match.

Those three words are always chanted when Shawn Michaels makes a WWE appearance. Shawn hasn’t wrestled in eight years and there has been talk for a coupe years about maybe having another Shawn Michaels match. I even remember a year after Shawn and Taker had their second Wrestlemaina match in 2010, there was talk about having Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels at Mania 29, but that never happened.

As Shawn said on Raw last night, he has stayed true to his word and hasn’t come out of retirement unlike other wrestlers like Ric Flair, Mick Foley and so on. He also said that it was out of respect for The Undertaker that he has stayed in retirement. But last night, were there seeds planted for another match between these two?

Taker asked Shawn if it was out of respect or fear that he has’t had another match, and that if Shawn was to have another match, it’ll only be against him.

Fans remember those two Mania matches these two had eight and ten years ago respectively. Their match at Wrestlemania 25 is in my opinion, one of the best matches ever. At one point early on in the match when Taker made it back in the ring before the ten count at nine, I couldn’t believe it. That match was five stars and more. Their match at 26 was good, but not to the extent of this match. You knew that Shawn was going to lose because rarely does someone win a retirement match (Dolph Zigger).

Obviously both are in their 50s and aren’t in the shape they were in back in the day when they had these two matches, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to see another match between these two.

Now, I know the Undertaker’s time is drawing close. His matches this year, the one that he has had, two if you count the short John Cena match, has maybe given him a bit more life. The Rusev match he looked better then he has in years, so maybe he still has a few more matches left in the tank. So would you want to see another match between these two?

Or if Shawn came out of retirement, would you want him to face AJ Styles or a guy like Daniel Bryan or even Seth Rollins? Shawn and those guys will be much better match ups then a third Shawn or Taker match at Mania. I’m getting ahead of myself because WWE does this thing were they may tease something, but we may never get the payoff. Look at The Rock vs. Triple H match they teased years ago.

Give us one more match Shawn, whether it’s against Taker, or someone else.
