UFC 240’s Main Event is the third time the fight between Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar was scheduled. Frankie was originally slated to face Holloway at UFC 218, but an injury to Edgar forced him out of the bout and Holloway defended his title successfully against Jose Aldo. They were rebooked for UFC 222, where this time Max pulled out with an injury and Frankie fought Brian Ortega. Ortega won the fight and jumped Edgar in line for a shot at the title. Now it seems that these two will finally go to war and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada plays host.

Welterweight: Geoff Neal (-325) Vs. Niko Price (+250)

I fully expect this to be fight of the night. Geoff Neal and Niko Price are both gamers and always show up to excite in the octagon. Geoff Neal is 11-2 as a professional and is 3-0 inside the UFC. With wins over Brian Camozzi, Frank Camacho and most impressively Belal Muhammad, Neal can build incredible momentum with a win here, possibly getting a top 15 ranked opponent for his next fight if he was to win. Niko Price is the most exciting fighter that you’ve never heard of. Price is 5-2 in the UFC with none of those fights going the distance. His most recent performance was a knockout victory over Tim Means, but his most impressive was by far his Knockout of Randy Brown.

I believe that Neal takes the victory, but it’ll be a decision and the first of Price’s inside the octagon. Geoff Neal Def. Niko Price

Women’s Featherweight: Felicia Spencer (+425) Vs. Cris Cyborg (-650)

This fight has really one storyline, How will Cris Cyborg respond? Cyborg hasn’t fought since her title loss to Amanda Nunes and that was her first defeat since her first fight back in 2005. Cyborg hasn’t really known defeat as a professional and it’ll be interesting to see how she reacts inside the cage to a young lion like Felicia Spencer. Overall, Cyborg is still Cyborg and if Jason Parillo and her team have anything to say, it’s that Cris is stronger than ever mentally and ready to take on another challenge. Cyborg by third round finish. Cris Cyborg Def. Felicia Spencer

Featherweight Title: Frankie Edgar (+300) Vs. Max Holloway (-400)

The MMA Math is quick and easy with this fight. Frankie Edgar lost to Brian Ortega. Brian Ortega was dismantled by Max Holloway. Holloway seems like an easy bet to make as a result of MMA Math doesn’t it? Overall, I agree with the MMA Math on this one. Max Holloway will likely smother Frankie with punches and leave him looking like Jeffrey Epstein in Jail by the third round. Frankie is a UFC Hall of Famer already, and I can see him retiring with a loss here if he in fact does lose. Max Holloway Def. Frankie Edgar
